Using
an eye liner correctly takes time and patience. Here I will mention the three
levels of eye liner usage that offer tips to develop a better handle on this
very misunderstood cosmetic.
The first level is the amateur level. This includes beginners who are just venturing in the world of eye lining.
Those in this level should prefer using self sharpening pencils because they glide smoother and are softer compared to hard pencils. Although they come in limited colors, it doesn’t really matter as it just introduces you to the second level which is the intermediate.
Pencils are used in this level because the correct application needs the practice and confidence you will learn from the initial level. Because of the hard tip that sometimes may be sharp, a good steady hand that has mastered the line drawing on, above or below the lash line is necessary.
The third and last level is the advanced, which deals with liquid eye liners. Out of all the three kinds, the liquid eye liners require the steadiest hand of all. This is so because they are usually made of really rich colors that easily get caught on the eye lids. The use of narrow brushes takes time to get a hang of because just a slight nudge will ruin the whole eye make up. Go through these three phases to really understand the art behind eye liners and I can tell you, you will really appreciate it.
